Stewarton Bowling Club isn’t just about perfect deliveries and friendly competition – it’s packed with charm, character, and a few surprises too! Whether you’re a seasoned bowler or just here for the banter and biscuits, here’s three fun facts from the early days to give you an insight into what makes our club special.

A Badge With A Story

The club’s President’s badge of office is actually a medal gifted by Kilmarnock bowlers during the opening ceremony in 1861. It’s not just symbolic - it’s a piece of shared bowling heritage!

Championship Pedigree

Stewarton isn’t just a local club - it’s a Scottish Champion! A rink from the club won the national title in 1907, proving that small-town talent can shine on the big stage. And yes, we do have good memories...!

Clubhouse Gets a License to Chill

In the 1970s, Stewarton Bowling Club obtained a drinks license, transforming the clubhouse into a lively social hub. It’s not just about bowls - it’s about banter, bonding, and a wee dram!
